masha's 2010

2010, was disappointing as an understatement. Not so much because the record - but because of the loss of crucial, tight matches. When you have so many of these losses constantly - you begin to wonder is it physical, mental or luck? I think it's a combination - but the Maria of the past would never let this happen, but I don't want that Maria back, I want an even smarter, stronger Maria achieving even more. Maria reminds me of me (of course she's achieved MUCH more) but because she overcomes all obstacles with determination. But it doesn't mean everything goes smoothly and it doesn't mean she doesn't worry or doubt. Come on she's human. But she finds a way to overcome them, fight and to achieve big things. I think this tough period, will simply make her stronger. Sure she's having some hiccups, it may be taking longer than we all hoped, but if anyone, Maria will be back at the top of the rankings once again - very soon. Maybe she does feel pressure like everyone, maybe she just needs to be focused on the moment, maybe she needs some new coaching - whatever helps I hope its worked out soon. I know she misses winning big matches and so do we. (cough 4th grand slam title <3)

Unlocking Vodafone phone (Australia)

Honestly, I'd never come across a locked handset before and thought by flashing a phone, it would unlock it - but I was WRONG!

So, how do you unlock a vodafone phone?
Go here and type your IMEI then there'll be instructions!

Displaying Korean, Japanese, Chinese on Winamp

So winamp usually displays Chinese song titles with no problem, but Korean comes out as boxes.
The solution? Enable the font Arial Unicode MS in winamp (go to options->preferences->playlist AND modern skin)

This font is included in Microsoft Office, but not installed by default, so follow these steps if you cannot find it on the list

WinFast TV2000 XP Expert Review

It's 2010, and analogue tv cards such as the WinFast TV2000 XP Expert are quite outdated. But at $15, it's a steal. WinFast TV2000 XP RM and Asus MyCinema P7131 were going at only $10, but reviews told me this was a more quality card. It uses the Conexant CX2388x chip and it's much better than the Fusion 878A that the RM version used. This one can tune (in Australia) all the channels with 7,9,10 the clearest (analogue). When I had the WinFast TV2000 XP RM, I always got a hissing sound with channel 7 and 9 which uses the Fusion 878A chip. Thankfully this one gives me great sound - no hiss! And a note - my VCR and TV never gave me weird hissing sounds also.

My analogue reception is decent for channels 7,9,10 but channel 2 and 28 are not so good - this is the same for tv/vcr tuning. The input feature is useful because I can record from my set top box, VHS or any external source. So in conclusion: the tuning device much better than RM version.

As for the winfast software, personally I like it, but you have to trial and error to see which version is best for you. The newest one is not always the best one. This one works best for me: WinFastPVR2_setup_2037
Some versions gave me a strange aspect ratio if I personalised my recording settings, or lagged.

Here are some screen caps of analogue reception.

27/03/10

So essentially I've decided it's time to get a grip on life and to live in abundance - in terms of health, wealth, love, self-expression! =)

I've been encouraging mum to learn english and it's been pretty good. She's been trying hard. I'm downloading audio lessons & scripts off http://www.bbc.co.uk/ukchina/simp/elt/ and it seems pretty good. There's lots of interesting topics, and I think it's a good way to learn not only English, but to improve your knowledge.

So where does that put me? Shouldn't I start my endeavour. It's easy to tell someone else to try a bit everyday. Well what about me? The thing is, it's not that I don't want to, but it's just this notion of "doing it tomorrow". For me, I admit, tomorrow NEVER comes. So yeh, I will change it to I'll do it now because all my dreams will come true once I stop putting it off.

Really, there's so much I can do after graduating, so why worry? I'll ask for guidance from the universe, from Father and it'll work out in the best possible way!

Earth hour!! I missed it!! WOOPS!!

TO DO LIST:
1/ FINISH CLEANING ROOM
2/ MEDITATE, AFFIRMATIONS, STAY POSITIVE3
3/ LEARN LANGUAGES
4/ STUDY WELL FOR MIDSEMS

Skin79 Super BB Gold SPF25 PA++

Scored this off ebay for a present! Some good reviews for it, hopefully she'll like it!
Personally I don't think Jolin makes a good endorser for bb creams. She's kinda tanned, and hardly goes for the polished, nude look. It's always smokey and heavy.
