AO 2010 *sigh*

Summary of DAY 1 of Australian Open:

Miss Sharapova exiting first round. Biggest upset and 100% unexpected. I started getting into tennis during AO 2008 where masha was ON FIRE! Her demeanour, attitude, attire, execution just seemed to epitomise TENNIS the way it should be. So when 2010 AO came around, I really felt excited since it'd been 2 yrs since she last played. Gosh, it was so shocking and upsetting, first day of AO, first match. *cries* Despite playing ugly, she had her chances but didn't take them. I'm sure this hurts her so much, even though she always appears calm in press cons. I'm sure all these early exits are playing on her confidence and mind, but since she is Maria Sharapova she will find a way to conquer them all.

Anyway, like she said, what's done cannot be undone, but instead looking forward is important.
I don't know what happened today, but maybe it was meant to be, maybe this is when she'll realize something and something will click. But hopefully this is a wakeup call because she's made many early slam exits in the last 4 slams when she's capable of winning them. People say a new coach, better schedule, less distractions but who knows what's the best way. I hope she works it out. I hoped for her 2008 ao form, since there was so much preparation during off season, but obviously she's far from it. 76 unforced errors, 11 doubles (especially on BP etc.) It's a fact that she's far from her best, and that there's so much she needs to work on. But there is no doubt in anybody's mind that she can do it.

If her slam trend continues, this year's french open should be hers!

I should get over the loss! (I said last year's AO was maria-less and quite sad, unfortunately, this yrs is gonna be too.) I will be cheering on Roger, Justine, Dinara (she deserves a slam),Djoko (coz shes a funny guy) and many more.

And perhaps I should start conquering my life also.
